Owen at 8 months

Weight: I'm guessing around 19 lbs right now? We'll find out next month at his well baby checkup.

Height: No idea.

Clothing size: Moved him up to 12 months pajamas (and wanted to cry a little), but the rest still 9 months.

12 month pj's :(

Diaper size: Cloth.

Feeding: Still pretty much the same. Nursing on this rough schedule- 7, 10.30, 2, 5, 7, 10. I'd love to drop a feeding but we are still not having much luck with solids. This kid is just not a fan. Looking into the baby-led weaning philosophy, which is probably where we're at anyway with all of this. But can I just say I want to throw a party for making it 8 months nursing this one?! Breastfeeding is one of the hardest things I've ever done, and the days of Graham not gaining weight still haunt me. So incredibly thankful we've made it this far with Owen. Hoping for 4 more months!
Looks so big sitting in the highchair!!!

Sleeping: Settled now into 3 naps, and more confident that he's on track with what his body needs.

Milestones: He's sitting a lot better now, but still needs support or he'll topple over. First bath with Graham. First stroller ride without the carseat.

Likes: Being held and walked around. The Ergo- he smiles so big at me every time I start strapping him in. Ha. Graham. More interested in toys now- anything he can chew on.

Dislikes: Not being held-- he really is spoiled rotten when it comes to this. Oopsie. Solid foods. Carseat.

Adventures: Being outside again!!!! Andrew took both boys out alone for the first time-- to the tool shop. :) Playdates. Children's Museum.

#boytime
We love Chet baby!

What we couldn't live with out: The Ergo. Double stroller. The Boppy pillow is super helpful not only for nursing still, but also to support him as he learns to sit on his own.

Best part of parenting this age: I just love it. And it's even better now that we can go outside!!!!! SUNSHINE!!!!
Presh.

Oopsie.

First carousel ride

Hardest part of parenting this age: Having the capacity for anything else. So I usually just don't. Love my babies. :)

G/O at 8 months- starting to look alike!!

O baby at 7 months

Weight: Not sure... He was still around 18 lbs when we took him to the doctor a couple weeks ago.

Height: No idea.

Clothing size: 9 months. But some of his pj's are getting snug, so he'll probably be in 12 months soon. Eek.

Diaper size: Cloth.

Feeding: Nursing every 3-3.5 hours (6 times/day still). Trying to figure out a new schedule right now. Roughly eating at 7.15, 10.45, 2, 5, 7, 10. HATES solids. Clenches his mouth shut when the spoon comes out. :/

Sleeping: Napping 3x/ day. (Dropped a nap a month ago, but still trying to figure out the best new schedule for him. Hard to figure out what he needs, what my body needs to keep up milk supply, and how to coordinate his afternoon nap with Graham's! Lots of factors to line up.)

Milestones: Surviving two weeks of family sickness. :/ Graham had croup/ ear infection/ puking for a few days, then passed on his germs to Owen, and then to Andrew. Praise Jesus I stayed well enough to take care of everyone. Come on, spring!! Still sitting for a few seconds, but not great at it since he likes to be held ALL THE TIME.

Lots of snuggles during February sickliness.

Breathing in bathroom steam to fight off croup.

Likes: Graham. They are so stinkin fun with each other. I LOVE IT.

Dislikes: Not being held. Solid foods. Carseat.
What he looks like anytime he's not in someone's arms. :/

Finally found somewhere he likes tummy time: my lap.

Adventures: First Valentine's Day. Becoming a 2 car family!
Happy V-Day from the Buckle boys!

Andrew's new ride. So thankful for the convenience of 2 vehicles again!

What we couldn't live with out: The Ergo. Do I say this every time? It's just so true. Also, the Nose Frida this month. Totally grossed me out at first, but man it works to get baby/ toddler snot out!

Best part of parenting this age: I really am loving life right now with these two sweet things. It makes me want to have a bunch more kids. (Andrew looks at me like I'm crazy because our life is pretty much chaos.)
Our sweet neighbor Jonathan entertaining Owen.

They love each other.

Hardest part of parenting this age: I think I've said this before, but adding anything extra to our normal routine is pretty tough.

O baby at 6 months!

Weight: We'll find out this week at his checkup.

Height: Ditto.

Clothing size: 9 months. This kid. Seriously can't believe it.

Diaper size: Cloth.

Warming up to his bouncer.

Feeding: Still nursing every 3 hours. Rough schedule- 7am, 10am, 1pm, 4pm, 7pm, 10pm.

Sleeping: Still sleeping through the night and now napping 4 times a day. Sometimes flips to his tummy to sleep now.

Milestones: He rolls both ways now. He got his first 2 teeth! First taste of solid foods- butternut squash. Not a fan. First time in church nursery.

Sweet Max and Owen, born exactly a month apart,
hanging out in the nursery together. :)

Likes:  Being held. Big brother entertaining him. Playing with his feet. Chewing on his fingers. Seeing himself in the mirror.

Dislikes: Not being held.

Adventures: Christmas & first road trip to Tennessee. Meeting lots of new little baby friends. (Wish I had taken more pic's of sweet babies Calvin, Bennett, Norah, Nora, Jesse, Claire... And I"m probably forgetting some! Babies all around.)

Christmas morning.

Cousin time!

What we couldn't live with out: The Ergo.

Best part of parenting this age: I think these are my favorite ages of the boys so far. They are SO.MUCH.FUN. Love all the giggles and excitement about everything.

Hardest part of parenting this age: Same- Just the neediness of two littles and demands of my body, time, energy, etc.

G on the left and O on the right, both at 6 months.

Owen at 5 months

Weight: First month I don't know his weight! Won't find out til 6 months.

Height: Ditto.

Clothing size: 6 months. Pulled out some 9 month pj's.

Diaper size: Cloth.

Little blonde fuzz is growing!
Feeding: Nursing every 3 hours. Rough schedule- 7am, 10am, 1pm, 4pm, 7pm, 10pm.

Sleeping: Same- sleeping through the night and napping 5 times a day.
Holding hands during diaper changing.

Milestones: He's rolling from back to belly now, but not belly to back- which is supposed to be easier. Ha. He just hates tummy time so much. He grabs at everything. He laughs all the time. He blows bubbles and drools like crazy so I'm wondering if a tooth is coming soon. :/

Likes:  Still wants to be held all the time. The only way I can put him down is if Graham or I are still giving him attention. He is such a people person... or maybe just spoiled rotten. :) He loves sucking on his fingers/ thumb. He loves watching Graham do anything, and thinks everything he does is hilarious.

Graham likes to give moral support during tummy time-
which sometimes turns into wrestling time.
Dislikes: Tummy time. The carseat. His paci. Not being held.

Adventures: Baptism. First road trip. Thanksgiving. Christmas parade and festival. Music class. Children's museum.
Owen was baptized in the same onesie that
his father and brother were baptized in.
Love this.
Owen's baptsim

Christmas parade

What we couldn't live with out: The Ergo. Only way I can get stuff done.

Best part of parenting this age: Some days I crumble, but most days I just want to bottle up their little precious-ness at this age. I really do love it.

Hardest part of parenting this age: Just the neediness of two littles and demands of my body, time, energy, etc.
The crazy comes out in all of us around 4pm...
Counting down the minutes til Daddy gets home!!
